For councils

Resident reports, sent straight to your council

Residents take a photo, drop a pin and send the report in two minutes. Your staff get the photos, the exact place and the resident's contact details.

What Eye and Localtech Core do for a council

Localtech Eye is the free resident app. Localtech Core is the council ERP from Local Technology Partners. The link between them, the Customer Requests module, is in development.

Today: reports reach your council by email, with the exact map point, the address, up to five photos and the resident's contact details. If a council publishes no email address, the app gives the resident its phone number and website instead.

With Localtech Core (in development): reports arrive as customer requests, ready to assign, so nobody retypes them. Status updates go back to the resident when staff schedule, update or close a request.

    Reports by email, today

Each report reaches your council by email, with the exact map point, the address, up to five photos and the resident's contact details.

    Inside your boundary

Eye checks that the pin is inside your council's area. A report for the next council's area goes to that council.

    Straight into the ERP

Reports arrive in Localtech Core as customer requests, ready to assign, so nobody retypes them.

Assign it to the right person

Routing rules send each request to the right team. A supervisor assigns it to a field employee or crew.

One action to a work order

Turn a request into a work order, so labour, plant and materials are costed to the job and the asset.

    Residents kept in the loop

Status updates go back to the resident when staff schedule, update or close a request.

How a report reaches your staff

Today

  1. A resident sends a report. Eye checks that the pin is inside your boundary and uses your own list of problems.
  2. Your council gets it by email. The email has the exact map point, the address, up to five photos and the resident's contact details.
  3. Your staff contact the resident directly about the report, when they need to.

  2. Routing rules send it to the right team. A supervisor assigns it to a field employee or a crew.
  3. One action makes a work order. Labour, plant and materials are costed to the job and the asset.
  4. The resident sees each update. Status updates go back to the resident when staff schedule, update or close a request.

Your data, your region

Built for councils from the start.

  • Each council's data sits in its own database. No other council can see it.
  • Hosted in Australia (Sydney). Councils in other countries get each report by email from the same service.
  • Your categories, your boundary, your contact details. Residents see your list of problems, and reports outside your area go to the right neighbour.
  • Not for emergencies. Eye tells residents to call the local emergency number.

Where it is available
